A distinctive design approach

Alex Joncas, in co-founding Darmes, wanted to establish a coherent artistic direction by bringing contemporary design, focusing on the perfect balance between function and form. By first working with neon in the Ra collection and then glass, with the Etat-des-Lieux and Gigi collections. This is complemented by an homage to contemporary or brutal forms: our 1979 collection in collaboration with Will Choui draws, for example, from the powerful aesthetic of 1960s Montreal industrial design.
