1 year of the Doppler collection
Recently, Florian Martin from Belgium, visited us at our Laurentians workshop, and it was a great opportunity to reflect on the wonderful journey we’ve had with the Doppler collection. Florian first joined us as an intern, we wanted to give him a platform to explore raw materials, their tensions and their forms. The project quickly evolved from a simple project into a true collaboration to develop a unique luminaire. We share a passion for the raw beauty of materials, and the challenge was to push their limits.

We wanted to merge lighting and sculpture so that each piece, in addition to illuminating, would become a sculptural presence in its own right in a space.
This is how the Doppler collection was born, revealed in May 2024 at ICFF in New York. The name is inspired by the Doppler effect, reflecting movement, and the collection itself captures the essence of water: a fluid brilliance and surprising light reflections.
The goal was to create a collection that transcends the simple utilitarian function of lighting.
