1 year of the Doppler collection

Recently, Florian Martin from Belgium, visited us at our Laurentians workshop, and it was a great opportunity to reflect on the wonderful journey we’ve had with the Doppler collection. Florian first joined us as an intern, we wanted to give him a platform to explore raw materials, their tensions and their forms. The project quickly evolved from a simple project into a true collaboration to develop a unique luminaire. We share a passion for the raw beauty of materials, and the challenge was to push their limits.

The challenge was to find the perfect balance between the different materials used and to bring to life.

The creation process was particularly intense, requiring more time than usual. We spent months of co-creation with Florian, embarking on an in-depth exploration. We were lucky enough to find a local supplier who took the time to create several molds. This work was meticulous and allowed us to design such a unique shape.

We’re currently preparing new variations to push this collection even further. This project is a perfect example of our commitment to collaboration, where mutual learning and shared passion have given birth to a collection that perfectly blends technique, art, and material. Through collaboration, we uplift emerging talents and optimize expertise in lighting design.
